Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at Site Construction & Renovations. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in various tasks related to construction, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting of heavy equipment and materials.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure safe operation.
  • Clean and lubricate cranes, hoists, and other heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt for various construction projects.
  • Assist medical examiners and other personnel as needed.
  • Help align pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and structures.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants on construction sites.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure safe and efficient movement of personnel and equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work under pressure and handle heavy loads. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
