The York Region District School Board seeks a visionary leader to spearhead our high school programming, assessment, and reporting initiatives. As a School Principal, you will be instrumental in creating a culture of high expectation for students, staff, parents, and the community.
Salary$114,000 - $134,600 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic Faith and can effectively lead our team in implementing innovative programs that promote student success. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a high degree of flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve division goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of high school programming, assessment, and reporting initiatives
- Cultivate a climate of mutual respect among students, staff, and the community
- Provide collaborative leadership and engagement of stakeholders
- Demonstrate effective communication, facilitation, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Possess knowledge of Indigenous students and their needs
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Master's Degree or be working towards one, and have Teacher Alberta Certification and Leadership Certification in Alberta. You should also be eligible to teach/lead in the province of Alberta. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in school administration.
What We Offer
The successful candidate will be part of our administrative team and participate in division training and initiatives. This is a probationary position with the potential to transition to a continuous term contract upon successful evaluation.
