Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck.

Job Summary:

The Continuing Care Assistant will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
  • Support residents with mobility and balance issues, including walking and transferring.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Assist with household tasks, such as laundry and cleaning.
  • Participate in care planning and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • 1-6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
