Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Continuing Care Assistant will be responsible for providing personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring residents. Additionally, you will provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring residents
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, as needed
  • Participate in resident care planning and implementation
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Adult Abuse Registry check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lift and transfer residents, as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Working Conditions:

The Continuing Care Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care and support to residents in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
