Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse Opportunity


Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Vancouver General Hospital.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill clients in the PACU, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and maintain clinical expertise in critical care nursing, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote patient-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and VCH policies.

Requirements:



  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC).
  • Experience working in a critical care setting, preferably in a PACU or similar environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in critical care nursing.
