Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wire EDM Field Service Technician to join our team at MC Machinery Systems. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance to our customers in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair complex technical problems on Mitsubishi Machining products.
  • Examine machines mechanically and electrically to perform repairs, including dismantling and rebuilding as needed.
  • Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone and on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their technical needs and provide solutions.
  • Document product problems and resolutions in detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • CNC programming skills a plus.
  • Ability to operate a computer using Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Extensive travel necessary, current valid driver's license required.
Education and Experience
  • 2-year Electronic or Technical Degree, or experience equivalent.
  • Skilled in Electrical measurement and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
  • Skilled in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques.
Working Conditions

This job operates mainly indoors, but may be exposed to changing weather conditions. The job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. This position generally has a lot of driving and overtime work.

Physical Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, twisting, standing, speaking, and hearing. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding, and crouching are also required. Lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds, and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds are also necessary.
