Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers in the machining department
  • Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Train or arrange for training of employees
  • Oversee the safety of operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Set up machines and equipment for production
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines and program CNC machine tools
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
