Job Title: Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at 360°kids. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of youth in our community.

Job Summary:

The Youth Worker will provide mentorship, support, and guidance to youth aged 7-18, focusing on their social, emotional, and educational development. You will work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and inclusive environment that fosters positive relationships and promotes healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to youth, addressing their individual needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement life skills programming, including workshops, activities, and events, to promote youth development and engagement.
  • Collaborate with community partners and agencies to provide resources and support to youth and families.
  • Conduct daily monitoring and reporting, ensuring the well-being and safety of youth in our care.
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings and performance appraisals to ensure ongoing professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a child/youth-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with at-risk youth and/or street-involved individuals.
  • Strong personal ethics and integrity, with exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and case management skills, with ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification and vulnerable sector screening (criminal background check) are mandatory.
