Salary

Job Description
The Provincial Director of Public Health Advocacy is responsible for developing and implementing effective campaigns to promote public health and advocate for the five principles of the Canada Health Act. This includes conducting education and mobilization activities, representing the organization among affiliates and stakeholders, and ensuring timely responses to enquiries and correspondence. Additionally, the Provincial Director will participate in government committees, maintain funding relationships, and act as the principal spokesperson for the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a demonstrated commitment to public healthcare, a strong activist background, and experience in public relations, campaign planning, and administration. You must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills, fundraising experience, and the ability to work effectively with a largely volunteer-based organization. A strong understanding of community-based organizations and the labour movement in Manitoba is essential, as well as the capacity to work in coalition with other organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and fluency in French is an asset.
