Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products produced adhere to customer specifications by maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage plant production requirements and customer production requirements
  • Enforce complete quality systems and procedures
  • Ensure production operators perform quality checks
  • Control scrap and rework levels
  • React to tooling problems through troubleshooting
  • Address quantities and packaging concerns
  • Initiate corrective actions to resolve process concerns
  • Monitor hourly production rates and address related issues
  • Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives on the shop floor
  • Conduct orientation with new hires or transferred employees
  • Train new hires on safe and efficient machinery operation
  • Monitor performance and conduct performance evaluations
  • Administer the Collective Agreement with plant employees
  • Ensure employees work in a safe manner and follow Health and Safety laws
  • Maintain good housekeeping on the plant floor
  • Support 3 shift rotation (days, afternoons, midnights)

Requirements

  • University Degree in Mechanical, Automotive & Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology Program
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
