Empire Communities is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager - Contract Negotiator to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating and securing contracts and agreements that meet Empire's quality and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor budgets and analyze tenders to negotiate best costs and terms for contracts
- Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Participate in review and development of scopes of work for quality control and standardization
- Liaise with external subcontractors, internal construction, marketing, customer service, and land departments
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the residential construction industry
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts management and estimating
- Familiarity with contract law and Ontario Building Code 9
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management software
