Purchasing Manager Job Description

Shabad Transport Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for planning and controlling budget and expenditures, developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures, and overseeing the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
  • Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services
  • Authorize the development of specifications for products or services
  • Manage contracts
  • Review and process claims against suppliers
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Advise senior management
  • Assign, coordinate, and review projects and programs
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Urban area work setting
  • $1,500,001 - $4,000,000 budgetary responsibility
