Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Repair Planner to join our team at Fix Auto. As a Repair Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive a legendary customer service experience.

About the Role

The Repair Planner is responsible for maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company, supporting the collision shop, and achieving total customer satisfaction. This includes handling communication with adjusters and customers regarding repairs and repair status of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all appraisals, repair orders, supplements, and warranties.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with adjusters, production staff, and customer service representatives.
  • Work to resolve any customer concerns or dissatisfaction.
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Cultivate a positive working relationship with team members and management.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to comply with all health & safety procedures.
  • Communicate and document repair status to customers and insurance companies.
  • Other related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High school or college automotive body repair diploma.
  • At least 1 year of direct experience in a similar role and 5-7 years in an estimator role.
  • A complete understanding of the day-to-day collision repair duties, including estimating, production scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and motivated; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Computer skills - MS Office applications, Outlook, Estimating Software.
