About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Operations Coordinator to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited. As a key member of our Facilities Management & Operations (FMO) division, you will be responsible for the execution of operations and maintenance contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and track subcontracted maintenance activities, including reporting of corrective repairs or deficiencies.
  • Assist with the execution of subcontracted Additional Work Requests (AWRs) by performing job showings with approved subcontractors, managing the RFQ process, and coordinating awarded projects.
  • Review, track, and submit project documentation, including H&S plans, shop drawings, and site plans.
  • Track, analyze, and trend project costs.
  • Create and update work orders and purchase orders in our CMMS system.
  • Communicate with clients and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in monthly operational meetings with clients.
  • Provide monthly client and internal management reports as per contract.
  • Manage contract operations regarding safety, productivity, communication, and efficiency to the standards of both Black & McDonald and the client.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or trade-related experience is required.
  • 1-3 years' experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is required.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Projects, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
