This is an exciting opportunity to work with a globally connected team of specialists, solving complex transport challenges and experiencing groundbreaking projects from idea to delivery.

We're looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join our Materials Technology team. As a Materials Technology Specialist, you'll work under the supervision and mentorship of our civil and geotechnical engineering professionals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Completion of Quality Assurance and Quality Control materials testing services on-site for various construction projects.
  • Conducting compaction testing during site grading and backfilling operations, including sampling soil and aggregates for laboratory analysis.
  • Concrete and asphalt sampling and testing for various building and infrastructure projects.
  • Supporting field staff in investigative work, including concrete coring, tensile bond testing, dowel testing, test pit investigations, and site data collection.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service communication skills.
  • The capacity and willingness to learn new skills and testing procedures.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license to carry out site inspections.
  • Competence with the use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to lift and carry 23.7 kg (50 lbs).
  • Willingness to work a regular 40-hour work week and possible overtime up to a limit of 13 hours total per day.
  • Willingness to travel up to 200 km per day.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
