Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Barrie's Special Care Homes.

Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our residents.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Assist with medication administration, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in regular exercise programs, such as walking, to promote physical activity and well-being.
  • Collect specimens, as required, and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
