Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Barrie's Special Care Homes.

Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our residents.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Encourage and support residents in regular exercise, such as walking.
  • Collect specimens for medical testing as required.
  • Feed or assist residents with feeding, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to prevent loneliness and isolation.
  • Perform personal care tasks, such as toileting, grooming, and mobility assistance.
Work Environment

Our residents require a supportive and caring environment, and we are committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
