Estimator and Project Manager for Construction Projects

We are seeking an experienced Estimator and Project Manager to join our team at Metro-Can Construction Ltd.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and project management, with experience in civil, commercial, and residential construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Estimating:
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
    • Analyze tenders and recommend awards to clients
    • Set up and monitor cost control systems to ensure project budgets are met
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and within budget
    • Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to manage project scope and schedules
    • Coordinate and supervise site personnel to ensure safe and efficient work practices
  • Administration:
    • Maintain accurate records of project progress, financials, and correspondence
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports to clients and company management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., construction management, estimating)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating and project management in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$105,000, depending on experience.
