Curriculum Development Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Curriculum Development Consultant, focusing on Mi'kmaq/Indigenous education. You will play a critical part in supporting Indigenous partnerships, fostering innovation, cultural responsiveness, and academic quality across Academic programs. Your strong commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion will be instrumental in creating transformative educational experiences that prioritize Mi'kmaq/Indigenous perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance curricula that reflect Mi'kmaq/Indigenous worldviews, histories, and learning methodologies
- Collaborate closely with academic leaders, faculty, subject matter experts, Mi'kmaq/Indigenous communities, and external stakeholders to ensure curriculum initiatives align with guiding frameworks and community needs
- Manage related curriculum development projects and provide expert guidance on culturally responsive curriculum development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mi'kmaq/Indigenous Studies, Education, Social Work, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Mi'kmaq/Indigenous worldviews, histories, and current realities
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Mi'kmaq/Indigenous communities, focusing on education or curriculum development
