About the Role


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician at Tricon Residential, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring that all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.



Duties and Responsibilities



  • Complete routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure resident safety
  • Respond to after-hours calls and emergency situations as needed
  • Clean and maintain common areas and grounds, including litter pick up and waste management
  • Assist with solid waste collection and sanitation of waste bins and compactor rooms
  • Monitor external contractor progress and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Utilize technology to drive productivity and continuous improvement in maintenance service delivery
  • Document and report all maintenance work order records electronically via Mobile Doorman in a timely manner
  • Detail work completion or if outside contractor work is required to complete the maintenance work order


Requirements



  • High school diploma required, College diploma or trades certification in relevant field preferred
  • Skilled in repair and maintenance of building systems, including minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and miscellaneous renovation repairs
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative, agility, flexibility, and professionalism
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of Yardi an asset
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and interests while being culturally aware
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on call
