Job Overview
Pinchin Ltd. is a multidisciplinary consulting firm seeking an experienced Human Resources Operations Specialist to join our dynamic People & Culture team for a maternity leave contract of approximately 14 months.
About the Role
As a key member of our HR team, you will play a crucial part in supporting both the administrative and strategic functions of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily HR operations, providing guidance to employees and managers, and contributing to ongoing HR initiatives.
- Developing, implementing, and modifying HR policies, programs, and procedures using knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
- Providing consistent advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Resolving employee conflicts or issues in a timely and appropriate manner, escalating to the HR Manager when necessary.
- Working directly with managers on employee performance management, including annual performance reviews, development plans, disciplinary letters, and performance improvement plans.
- Facilitating proper employee documentation and accurate records in the HRIS system (ADP/UKG).
- Compiling reports to analyze data for key HR metrics and related projects.
- Supporting the HR Manager in implementing talent management programs and special projects.
- Conducting investigations relating to HR policy, including health & safety and other workplace incidents.
- Facilitating employee offboarding, including performing exit interviews, terminations, preparing separation documents, and managing departure logistics/administration with Finance and IT.
Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferably with a CHRP/CPHR designation (active) or in progress.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources operations and employee relations.
- Motivation to work independently as well as on team projects and initiatives.
- Experience working with an HRIS (preferably ADP/UKG).
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound reasoning, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, creative, process-oriented, demonstrated leadership skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong background in data collection and reporting.
- Experience in professional services or consulting is preferred.
