Human Resources Operations Associate

At Royal Bank of Canada, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Operations Associate to join our team.
This is a 4-month student placement opportunity with a start date of May 2025 and end date of August 2025. As a Human Resources Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting HR operational activities and applying your training and experience to perform various administrative/operational assignments.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and progressive team environment and be part of an agile team responsible for end-to-end delivery of business needs.

The estimated salary for this position is around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and comparable job postings in the Greater Toronto Area.
In this role, you will execute a variety of HR processes in support of employee pre-screening, transfers, compensation, leaves, and time off. You will also use Workday, ServiceNow, and other applications to analyze HR requests and determine the best course of action.
As a Human Resources Operations Associate, you will partner with other HR team members to provide best-in-class employee experiences. You will ensure employee data is accurate and complete, and be an active contributor to both your individual team and the wider HR Operations community.
You will demonstrate a continuous learning mindset by asking questions and sharing knowledge and best practices. You will also work as part of an agile team responsible for end-to-end delivery of business needs.
To succeed in this role, you must be currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. You must have excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written), as well as creative and analytical thinking abilities.
The ideal candidate will be able to pivot quickly from one priority to another and have strong MS Office skills - Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. You must also be able to conduct transactions with a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality, in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Privacy and Risk policies.
Bilingual in French and English is an asset, but not required. Previous HR Administrator or business administration experience is also desirable.
