Job Title: Lumber Yard Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Manager to join our team at Coast Builders Rona. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our lumber yard, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily operations, and plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff and assign duties, determine staffing requirements, and recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine merchandise and services to be sold, locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, and plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
  • Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Point of sale system, inventory control software, electronic mail, spreadsheet, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
