Lumber Yard Manager

Coast Builders Rona is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our lumber yard, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and maintaining high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and control daily operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping lumber products.
- Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling staff and managing inventory.
- Manage staff and assign duties, ensuring that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including selecting and procuring lumber products.
- Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring that the lumber yard operates within budget.
- Determine staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- 5-10 years of experience in a lumber yard or related industry.
- Proven track record of managing staff and operations effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
