Chief Human Resources Officer

Meridia Recruitment Solutions, a Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette Company, is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the HR function for a prominent rail transportation organization. Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Divisional Director of Human Resources, the Chief Human Resources Officer will play a pivotal role in the leadership team. This position entails steering the strategic direction of HR operations, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with business leaders to foster exceptional performance through innovative HR strategies and programs.

In this capacity, you will have the freedom to develop and implement HR initiatives tailored to the organization's requirements, while also leveraging resources from the broader corporate group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and the HR team to identify, design, and implement effective human resources strategies and processes;

  • Mentor and guide HR professionals who serve as the primary liaison for employees and management on HR-related matters;
  • Oversee the implementation of critical HR initiatives, including workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement;
  • Anticipate organizational needs and provide strategic HR leadership and solutions;
  • Contribute to cultivating a positive workplace culture that emphasizes accountability and teamwork.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a dynamic and strategic HR leader with a proven track record in managing impactful HR programs. You possess strong presentation skills and are passionate about advancing HR initiatives that align with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with significant leadership responsibilities;
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • CPHR designation is a valuable asset;
  • Comprehensive HR generalist experience across various competencies;
  • A history of leading highly engaged teams;
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
  • High levels of self-motivation, professionalism, and business insight.
