Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

New-Way Trucking Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver to operate our trucks on long haul routes. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license, a strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Operate lighter, special purpose trucks, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and have a strong understanding of the job requirements and expectations.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.

  • Overtime required.
  • Physically demanding.

  • Hardworking.
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job with a permanent position. The working hours are 45 hours per week, and the language of work is English.
