About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi Fresh. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Cooking and Food Preparation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.

Customer Service

Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.

Kitchen Management

Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.

Staff Training and Supervision

Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations.

Inventory and Record Keeping

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks as required.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
