Mathematics Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer to join our team at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and a proven track record of teaching excellence.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver a theoretically sophisticated and relevant course at the university level, utilizing a technology-enhanced learning approach.
- Prepare, deliver, and grade all course material and assignments, and be available for consultation with students.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure a high-quality learning environment.
- Stay current with developments in mathematics education and incorporate best practices into teaching and course design.
- Master's degree in education and/or mathematics, with a focus on mathematics education.
- Experience teaching mathematics at the pre-service and/or K-6 levels, with a proven ability to integrate technology into instructional practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- PhD in education or a related field.
- Experience working in a virtual environment.
- Experience teaching in a pre-service teacher education program.
