Job Title: Sessional Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer to join our team at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a theoretically sophisticated and relevant course at the university level, utilizing a technology-enhanced learning approach.
  • Prepare, deliver, and grade all course material and assignments, and be available for consultation with students.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a high-quality learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mathematics education and incorporate new ideas and technologies into teaching and learning.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in education or a related field.
  • Strong background in mathematics education, with a focus on K-6 mathematics.
  • Proven experience in teaching and learning, with a focus on inquiry-based and problem-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in education or a related field.
  • Experience working in online learning platforms and learning management systems.
  • Knowledge of K-6 mathematics education in the Ontario context.
