As an Occupational Therapist II, you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, working closely with nursing staff, physicians, therapy assistants, physiotherapists, social workers, and speech language pathologists to provide high-quality patient care. With a strong focus on independence and case management, this role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate occupational therapy and allied health clinical services within a program or service area
  • Supervise students and team members as assigned
  • Provide leadership to other healthcare professionals and make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs
  • Ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines
  • Participate in program development and operational planning, and represent the department on committees or programs
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
