At Meadow Sushi, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food. Additionally, the candidate will supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. The work setting will be in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality food products. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes
* Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
* Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
* Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
* Clean kitchen and work areas

**Requirements:**

* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
* 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
* Strong background in food preparation and cooking
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work well under pressure

**Work Environment:**

* Restaurant environment
* Fast-paced and dynamic
* Excellent customer service skills required

**Language:**

* English

**Hours:**

* 30 to 40 hours per week
