Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Primary Care Obstetrical Provider to join our team in Powell River, BC.
About the RoleWe are looking for a general practitioner with a particular interest and skillset in full scope primary obstetrical care. This is an urgent locum coverage opportunity that has the potential to transition to a permanent position.
About the TeamOur team is a collaborative, multidisciplinary perinatal service that is developing a new and exciting full service perinatal program. We work closely with obstetrician/gynecologists, family doctors, midwifery, nursing, and lactation consultation to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide primary obstetrical care to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Participate in the development of our new perinatal program
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Provisional
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) eligibility
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Obstetric experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL) certification
