Job Title: Specialist Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Chef to join our team at Indian Hut. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Train and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure they meet our high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Plan and prepare menus that meet our quality standards and cater to the diverse tastes of our customers.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop and implement food safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for our staff and customers.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create new menu items and specials that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained in food safety, handling, and preparation to meet our high standards.
  • Work closely with our management team to achieve our business objectives and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
