Job Title: Construction Labourer

SCH SELECT CUSTOM HOMES LTD. is seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team. As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction of custom homes, working on various projects, and collaborating with our experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as needed.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction and framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work as required.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment:

As a Construction Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. You will be required to work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
