About the Role

MVT Canadian Bus, Inc. (Barrie Transit) is seeking a skilled Bus Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of buses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and repair or replace parts and components as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting the company's quality and safety requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reports and documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality.
