About the Role

MVT Canadian Bus, Inc. (Barrie Transit) is seeking a skilled Bus Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of commercial transport buses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport buses, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Training and Development: Coach and instruct apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
