Job Summary

EnerSys Delaware Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer NPI to join our Power Systems Engineering team in Burnaby. As a key member of our NPI team, you will be responsible for supporting the process of bringing new products to market through seamless collaboration with contract manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contract manufacturers to ensure alignment with company standards and objectives.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to manufacturing processes, quality, or delivery.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new products from design to full-scale production.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to contract manufacturers during the NPI phase.
  • Conduct on-site visits to contract manufacturers to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on supporting contract manufacturers.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AC and DC Power Modules design and applicable codes and standards – telecom product experience is a plus.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
