Occupational Therapist Opportunity at Lifemark Health Group

Lifemark Health Group is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery and rehabilitation of our clients.

About the Role:

  • Job Title: Occupational Therapist
  • Location: Kentville, Nova Scotia
  • Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Position:

As an Occupational Therapist at Lifemark Health Group, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with physical, neurological, and mental health conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education and support to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess client's physical and cognitive functioning
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Educate clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities
  • Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations
  • Document treatment sessions using e-charting software and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development and FCE Trained
