About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Tolko Industries Ltd. as a Mechanical Technician - Heavy Duty Equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy duty equipment, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and diagnosis of equipment issues to identify and resolve problems.
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, set-up, and repair.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
  • Experience working on hydraulic equipment and cylinders, as well as assembling large precision heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to consistently follow work processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvement and cost-savings.
