Job Summary:

We are hiring a Cashier for our store in St-Jérôme. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service at the checkouts, accurately recording customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Accurately process customer transactions and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
  • Follow loss prevention best practices and ensure compliance with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with a variety of customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

A typical full-time schedule will consist of day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends with a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly. The physical demands of this position include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting, as well as lifting and/or moving up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
