About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Royal Cumin Catering and Events. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and implement procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Recruit and hire staff to meet the needs of the kitchen operations.
  • Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
