Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional for the role of Leader Patient Flow Operations. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring safe and efficient patient care services within our facility.


The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating hospital and bed utilization activities, and collaborating with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers to apply strategic and analytical thinking.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure adequate staffing levels meet patient census needs
  • Coordinate hospital and bed utilization activities in the absence of hospital administration
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to address challenges and promote high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services

Requirements:



  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Minimum three years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting
  • Minimum two years' nursing management experience
  • BCLS required; ACLS is an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits


This permanent full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $40.15 - $53.34, plus benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Estimated Salary Range: $83,100 - $108,400 per year
