Airport Security Specialist

**About the Role**

As a Pre-Board Screening Officer with GardaWorld, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the travelling public. Your primary responsibility will be to screen the travelling public and their belongings, ensuring that non-permitted items do not enter the secure area.

Additionally, you will receive paid training and have access to a travel benefit of up to $3,390.82 per year.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Screen the travelling public and their belongings
* Ensure non-permitted items do not enter the secure area
* Control access to restricted areas
* Respond to alarms and report any events, illegal acts, or violations
* Participate in emergency operations within the airport

**Requirements**

* Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
* Have a clean criminal record and be eligible to obtain a RAIC (security clearance)
* 18 years of age or older
* English verbal and written
* Must be located near Kuujjuaq or willing to relocate before starting
