Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented, proactive, and highly organized individual with technical writing experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with product management, software development, and customer service teams to create and maintain technical documentation for all our products, including user guides, reference manuals, and training materials.
Key Responsibilities- Create new content based on user interface specifications and personal research;
- Design, develop, refine, and maintain technical documentation and training materials with hands-on exercises;
- Suggest ways to restructure information to better meet user needs;
- In collaboration with technical teams, ensure that product learning is easy for new users while being productive for expert users;
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical information.
- Master's degree in engineering or sciences, particularly in heat transfer, digital fluid dynamics (CFD), or finite element analysis;
- OR Bachelor's degree with significant experience in mechanical engineering or a related technical field;
- Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written. (The position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers, and clients established outside Quebec, across Canada, and internationally.)
- Ability to clearly explain complex technical subjects;
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and organizing basic material based on interviews with subject matter experts, practical interactions with software, and reading existing documents;
- Experience in user documentation for software and knowledge of editing tools, including software for creating images and videos;
- Knowledge and experience with HTML, XML, or other markup languages;
- Knowledge of scripting, such as Python scripting;
- Excellent knowledge of CAD/CAO applications.
