Job Summary:
The Woodfibre LNG company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and operation of our liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of matters, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiation and drafting, and business development.
- Work closely with our cross-functional team to identify and prioritize legal and commercial issues, and develop practical and risk-balanced solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure effective communication and management of legal risks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including our partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on how to comply with them.
Requirements:
- At least 7+ years' experience in commercial and natural resource related law in British Columbia or Alberta.
- Canadian law degree and current membership (or willingness to obtain membership) in the law society of British Columbia or Alberta.
