Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Crust Freight.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Truck Driver with Crust Freight, you will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading goods from tractor-trailers in various locations across North America;
- Obtaining special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes;
- Ensuring the safe operation of vehicles by conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections;
- Communicating effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations;
- Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption;
- Tarping and securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transportation.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) or equivalent;
- A clean driving record with no major infractions within the past five years;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including overtime, and willingness to travel extensively.
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably with a reputable company like Crust Freight;
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols;
- Familiarity with fleet management software and electronic logging devices;
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
