The ideal candidate will possess strong financial planning and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing accounting operations and guiding financial reporting systems.

About the Role
  • Provide strategic advice to align with the company's long-term financial goals
  • Lead and oversee the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on project revenue and utilization
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights on period-end financial information
  • Manage accounts receivable and associated client communication
  • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll functions, and employee benefits/compensation programs
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) time and ensure unbilled time represents a valid asset
  • Coordinate the annual accounting review process
  • Complete all required tax reporting
  • Manage time-based accounting systems and software enhancements
Requirements
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business project-oriented environment
  • Extensive experience with time billing accounting, project accounting, and payroll processes
  • Exceptional analytical and report writing skills
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Adept at integrating and coordinating multiple deliverables
  • Strong strategic thinking, time management, organization, and delegation abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Commitment to excellence and producing high-quality work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy

Salary: $120,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and a retirement savings program.
