Job Title: Deicer - YYT(PM Shift)

Job Type: Full-Time/Seasonal

Shift: 11pm - 7am

Location: YYT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Deicer to join our team at YYT. As a Deicer, you will be responsible for removing ice from aircraft and ensuring a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect aircraft for frozen contamination and perform de-icing duties according to procedures.
  • Participate in pre-planning for de/anti-ice events, including equipment checks and fuel/glycol servicing.
  • Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
  • Must be able to verbally direct in English.
  • Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
  • Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Work Environment:

Prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights in excess of 15 ft to perform role, repairs, or inspections.
  • Must be able to speak and hear efficiently to supplement other senses in maximizing situational awareness in safety-sensitive environments.
  • Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
