The Terrazzo Tile and Marble Association of Canada is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead the association's daily activities. This key role plays a vital part in managing staff, engaging members, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and organizing programs, events, and services that align with the nonprofit sector.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Operational Leadership: Implement and manage organizational processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee the association's day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and adherence to organizational policies.
  2. Financial Management: Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget to ensure financial health and sustainability.
  3. Event Management: Plan and execute conferences, workshops, training programs, and other events that serve the association's mission and membership. Oversee technical testing programs and other industry-specific initiatives.
  4. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Set performance goals, provide mentorship, and ensure staff alignment with organizational objectives.
  5. Advocacy and Industry Relations: Serve as the organization's primary representative, building relationships with stakeholders, industry leaders, and government entities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within a nonprofit or association setting. Demonstrated success in operations management, financial oversight, and team leadership.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
    • Experience in event planning and execution
    • Knowledge of nonprofit governance and best practices.
    Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
