About the Role

The Senior Bridge Deck Construction Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and coordination of day-to-day field operations, ensuring the safety of crew members, productivity, and adherence to OH&S and Company policies, procedures, and guidelines. This role requires a strong functional team leader who can multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Promoting and executing a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants.
  • Providing guidance to team members through safety meetings and inspections.
  • Tracking and reporting project, quality control, resource requirements.
  • Driving quality, efficiency, and productivity of work crews.
  • FOLLOWING PROJECT PLANS AND BUDGET WHILE ENSURING THE SUPERINTENDENT, FOREMAN, AND CREWS PERFORM TO MEET PRODUCTION GOALS.
  • Assisting the Foreman in translating drawings, specifications, and work requirements into a prioritized work plan.
  • Understand the scope and sequencing of work, planning, and prioritizing the work effectively redirecting crews and equipment to assigned tasks and minimize downtime on sites.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory position in the construction industry with experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects, specifically bridges.
  • 5 plus years of experience with concrete, rebar, and formwork.
  • Bridge deck construction in BC is a plus.
  • Experience working on a large, multi-disciplinary, joint venture team is an asset.
  • Knowledge of WCB & OHS British Columbia legislation.
  • Exceptional ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.
  • Ability to work the project schedule which may include night shifts and weekends.
What We Offer
